I'm not a big fan of those wraps either. I LOVE Tjoe's corn torillas, they are really thick and hold stuff well. Wish they made them bigger.

It's a really old post, but I just stumbled onto your blog this evening. I will second (third? fourth?) the La Tortilla Factory ivory teff wraps. They are DIVINE. We have five gluten-free kids and having even ONE crack in the package then requires me to buy two packs of pricey tortillas. For this reason, I am really particular about which wraps I will buy. The search continues for "foldable" BIG gluten free tortillas!!! I also have heard La Tortilla Factory's teff tortillas (large sized!) are awesome. I love my little corn tortillas for quesadillas but would love to have a wrap type sandwich or burrito again! Great post :)

It is quite likely the two wraps ARE the same. Trader Joe's commonly private labels foods. Their nonfat organic is made by Wallaby for example. But they do seem to be being VERY good about gluten free labelling and sourcing and doing much better than most at providing options. I just wish they would switch themselves and their suppliers to a GF soy sauce - many more of their premade foods

I live in Brooklyn and my local supermarkets corn tortillas have wheat in them. Fortunately in a bodega in Coney Island I was able to find all corn tortillas that were very good and stayed fresh in my refrigerator a long time. Sorry but I don't remember the brand name. Will try to purchase them again this weekend. I made enchilladas with them and they were even better the next day!

a tip that may help with the Food for Life tortillas...if the tortilla is a little dry spritz each side lightly with water from a spray bottle. then heat it up in a (dry)12" pan on low a minute or 2 each side. if it is fresh skip the spritz and just warm the tortilla. it will lessen the cracking and flaking. happy eating!
