GIVEAWAY: THE GLUTEN-FREE ASIAN KITCHEN COOKBOOK

This cookbook giveaway, The Gluten-Free Asian Kitchen, will solve a problem I think I may share with many people who find they can no longer digest gluten: Asian Restaurant Deprivation. Even though we now have pocket-sized packages of gluten-free Tamari available to us, there is still the problem of all that wheat flour to be found in various dumplings and rolls.

Although this book is not vegetarian, I think some ground or shredded tofu, tempeh or TVP should work well whenever meat is called for. What really excites me is to finally be able to make so many of the dishes I've been missing!

You might wonder what carrot cake is doing on the list, until you discover it is a savory stir fry that's somewhat sweet and whose starring ingredient is a mild radish! This book is full of similarly surprising (to the western palate) dishes, and if you tend to be an adventurous sort, you will love it. On the other hand, if there are old favorites (not one, but three recipes for dumplings, for example) you've loved and recently lost, you will find them here, too!
