I'd seen the clever ads all over town, but didn't taste my first bag of these un-baked, un-fried, potato popchips until the Fancy Food Show. I had no idea there was such a range of flavors, and that the flavors, at least the ones I've tasted, were so pleasingly powerful. As I neared the bottom of the convenient 100 calorie bag, I found myself looking for every last crumb--that popped potato chip had won me over!
Today I had the barbeque--punchy heat with a sweet undertone. Looking forward to tasting the other flavors ASAP, especially if they're as good as they ones I've had so far. Incidentally, one of the health benefits of popchips is that they're lower in fat than fried chips and have no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
They're vegetarian, but the downside is that they are not certified gluten-free. I 'm a full celiac, though, and tried them (with no ill effects) since they have no gluten ingredients. Not made at a dedicated facility, but expected to be certified by the end of the year. Vegetarians (or meatarians who aren't celiac) should give these great little chips a try as soon as possible, since they're truly tasty!
